BENTLEY - Bentayga
When Bentley Motor Company chose the Cascade Mountain Range of the PNW as the backdrop to launch their revolutionary SUV the Bentley Bentayga. They needed a company that could come to the table with not only the best crews in the industry, but also the cinema experience to pull off two concepts that are better described as short films. These concepts required working with such legends as Jean Reno, to capturing air-to-air, air-to-ground and numerous chase sequences to capture the power and grace of an SUV worthy of the Bentley name.
ReD Bull - in Barco Escape
When our friend Ted Schilowitz called to tell us he was working with industry leader Barco to create a next generation 270º - 3 screen format for cinema he certainly had our attention. When he asked if we wanted to join up with them and help work through the R&D we were honored. We had a lot of work to do to sort out the details, but once we had our math straight and post production workflows ironed out we had to prove that it could be done. In typical VODA fashion we contacted our friends at Red Bull and asked what they were up to and if they wanted to work with us to capture something truly mind blowing. Check out the video for a taste of the action, but if you really want to see it you’ll have to call us for a ticket to the next showing
VODA got tapped by our friends at Microsoft to do one of the coolest shoots the company has ever commissioned. With the launch of their new Xbox One they wanted to get the word out that the new system was more than a game console it was truly the center of entertainment in the home. So what did we do? We threw an epic house party of course.
VODA studios was one of the partners asked to participate in the effort to update the visitor experience at the iconic Space Needle. Working with Creature the Space Needles agency along with interactive powerhouse Stimulant, our, team produced, shot and created video and interactive VR content to be used on kiosk, mobile and video wall experience to let guests experience some of the coolest spots in Seattle. We also worked closely with the Microsoft Photosynth team to augment their 3D imaging technology to create immersive views of Seattle hotspots that you can only experience at Space Needle itself. Since it's launch, visitors have been treated to being right the huddle at a Seattle Sounders game, inside the octopus tank at the Seattle Aquarium, and catching a fish at world-famous Pike Place Market.
VODA was brought in by the production and creative teams at CALTY Design Research, Toyota's North American design branch, to help capture the design process of their newly unveiled FT-1 concept sports car. We brought down our best MōVI and CineStar Teams to help bring their idea of building the next super car to life. We were excited to be a part of the team and are hoping for a production release of the FT-1, but for now, the only place to get one is in the new Gran Turismo 6.
MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS - WHITE WALLS
BEHIND THE SCENES
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are known for their outstanding music videos—their three MTV Video Music Awards attest to that. That's why they chose the crew at VODA studios to help produce their latest hit video, "White Walls"—the beginning of a relationship with a team that works as hard as they do.
By managing production, locations, logistics, building the crews and outfitting the shoot with state of the art equipment, VODA was able to provide the Macklemore team with the freedom needed to do what they do best: create & perform. After two weeks of pre-production, fourteen days of shooting, and endless hours of post-production and finishing, VODA studios is proud to share the music video for "White Walls" from Macklemore’s Grammy Award-winning album The Heist.
Launching a groundbreaking product comes with a multitude of details and a constant stream of adaptation. That's why the creative powerhouses at Tag: recently partnered with VODA to shoot the campaign for Motorola’s new MOTO X line of smart phones. In this balance of successful marketing, VODA held down the production so the agency could focus of the big picture.
VODA recently partnered with New York based agency ANOMALY and photographer Gus Powell to capture Carhartt’s winter line of Quick Duck Coats. The North West was the perfect background for capturing ‘real’ people building ‘real’ projects. From locations, equipment and building supplies to catering and production, the production crew at VODA crossed all the T’s and dotted all the i’s. Lets just say VODA can make it snow on 80 degree days.
Our friends down the street at Burton teamed up with VODA Studios on their post production to present the second part of STREET [Snowboarding], an urban snowboarding film featuring some of todays top riders. Burton took advantage of the technology available in our editing facilities to cut and finish the piece. We are looking forward to joining up with them again in the studio and of course, out in the backcountry.
